Job description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of the Cities and Places team in Dallas, Texas, focusing on building mechanical analysis and design for various projects. This role involves working collaboratively with clients and multi-discipline design teams to deliver innovative solutions. The engineer will engage in projects related to manufacturing, education, healthcare facilities, and water treatment. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Professional Engineering registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain.
- Minimum of 15 years relevant professional experience for infrastructure and building-related design projects.
- Ability to perform as a lead mechanical engineer.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline team with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Construction support services experience.
- Experience with US building codes: IMC, UMC, ASHRAE 90.1/62.1/62.2, IPC, IBC.
- Valid driver's license.
- Will not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa.
Responsibilities
- Perform building mechanical analysis and design for a wide range of projects.
- Produce technical reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Support pipe sizing calculations, pump selection, and piping systems.
- Engage in HVAC design and hydraulic studies.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Project Managers and clients.
- Contribute to innovative solutions for clients worldwide.
