Goldman Sachs is seeking entrepreneurial Agentic Software Engineers to join a newly formed AI Agentic Systems team within their Cloud Platforms organization. This team focuses on solving large-scale compute infrastructure challenges by architecting and deploying autonomous swarms of agents. As a founding member, you will help innovate software engineering by creating dynamic, goal-oriented systems that operate across various business units. The role emphasizes collaboration with diverse teams to translate business needs into technical workflows.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or C++ with a deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
- Direct experience deploying LLM-based agents in production environments.
- Proven track record of applying agentic patterns to data analysis, observability, optimization, or planning.
- Ability to thrive in a 0-to-1 environment and comfortable with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy multi-agent systems capable of autonomous planning, reasoning, and execution across distributed cloud environments.
- Build robust interfaces between AI agents, human stakeholders, and digital twins to ensure operational transparency.
- Develop agentic solutions for complex compute infrastructure problems, including real-time observability and automated capacity planning.
- Contribute to the underlying platform and tooling that allows agents to securely access data and interact with firmwide APIs.
- Partner with diverse business units to identify high-impact use cases for agents and translate business needs into technical workflows.
Benefits
- Employees at Goldman Sachs are often offered comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability coverage, generous vacation and holidays, and robust wellness resources such as EAP counseling, medical advocacy, on-site/virtual health services, and fitness support. Financial perks typically include retirement savings programs, live financial education, education support, and wealth-creation opportunities through equity awards and select investment programs. Many locations also provide family benefits (childcare resources, parental and family leaves, adoption/surrogacy support) and flexible work options like part-time schedules, job sharing, telecommuting, and alternate hours.
