The Technical Vice President will join the Deal Manufacturing Engineering team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Alternatives platform. This role focuses on the design, delivery, and evolution of core platforms that support private-side deal origination, diligence, and execution across Real Estate, Credit, and Growth Equity. The position requires a hands-on technical leader who will set architectural direction and lead complex initiatives while ensuring compliance with Goldman Sachs' standards. Additionally, the role emphasizes the application of AI and LLMs to enhance engineering workflows and business productivity.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5–8 years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership on complex systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Python
• Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
• Experience developing modern web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders

• Own the architecture and technical direction for large-scale, mission-critical Deal Manufacturing platforms
• Design and deliver production-grade full-stack applications using Java, TypeScript, and Python
• Build scalable backend services and APIs, and modern web UIs using frameworks such as React or Angular
• Apply AI and LLM capabilities to enhance engineering efficiency and business productivity where appropriate
• Lead complex initiatives end-to-end in an Agile environment, from design through production
• Partner closely with Product, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams across Alternatives
• Mentor engineers, lead code and design reviews, and reinforce GS engineering standards
• Champion operational excellence, including CI/CD, testing, and platform reliability
