The Hardware Validation Engineering (HVE) Program Manager role involves ensuring that Mac products undergo thorough testing and validation throughout their development cycle. The team is dedicated to providing end-to-end validation and testing of major system features to meet validation criteria before production. The ideal candidate will be passionate about product creation, experienced in system validation, and skilled in driving issues to resolution. This position requires collaboration with engineering teams to develop validation plans and communicate status and concerns effectively.
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering is required, with a preference for Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of project management experience is necessary.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering is required.
- Experience with consumer electronics or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to engage and drive issues with collaborators are essential.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams to test new hardware and software features.
- Develop and complete validation plans in collaboration with various teams.
- Communicate validation status, top issues, and customer concerns to the project core team and senior leadership.
- Understand the risk and complexity of new hardware and software features.
- Provide end-to-end validation and testing of major system features.
