The Electrical Build Engineer role at NVIDIA focuses on developing and installing innovative power systems for AI Factories. This position is part of a world-class team dedicated to advancing AI and accelerated computing. The engineer will collaborate with product owners and technical leads to establish requirements for next-generation data centers. This role emphasizes technical evaluations, lifecycle management, and ensuring high-quality electrical engineering standards.
Requirements
- BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering with a PE License or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of professional experience in data center build or construction.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical power paths from utility distribution.
- Expertise in power distribution for various electrical systems.
- Understanding of electrical build and operational changes with high power rack densities.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, controls, life safety, and IT Networking systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high pressure environments.
- Experience with Level 1-5 commissioning and direct-to-chip liquid cooling technologies.
- Solid grasp of Sequence of Operations (SOO) for electrical system control.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to identify and collect requirements for next-generation data centers.
- Support the global build standards for data center power systems.
- Adapt DSX and electrical system reference builds to AI Factory deployments.
- Conduct technical evaluations from site selection through site turnover.
- Provide technical support for construction and commissioning issues.
- Standardize electrical engineering quality approval and process control.
