Job description
In this role, you will be a critical technical leader responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our global infrastructure. You will manage data center operations and optimize operational efficiency while collaborating with various functional teams. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to adapt strategies in response to dynamic business needs. You will be part of a diverse team focused on delivering high standards for safety and security in AWS data centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, program manager, or in construction management
- 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
- Project Management Certification from an industry-recognized authority
- Experience managing large, cross-functional projects exceeding $3 million in scope
- Experience performing vendor management for multiple accounts exceeding $1 million in annual spend
Responsibilities
- Manage calendar, schedules, and invites for the team.
- Facilitate the creation of SOWs with partner teams for contract documents.
- Evaluate performance and work product of on-site partners and escalate issues.
- Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with operational teams.
- Evaluate project risks and issues and propose actionable resolutions.
- Build strong working relationships with data center leadership teams and internal stakeholders.
- Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate.
- Proactively improve knowledge about data center relevant technologies.
