Job description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Amazon Leo for Government will work within a multi-disciplinary team to design and implement manufacturing processes for space-based and terrestrial products. This role focuses on ensuring efficient and high-quality production while collaborating with various engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in space systems and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is critical for supporting the manufacturing execution and quality compliance of advanced satellite communication solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent engineering science.
  • 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple locations in complex manufacturing/production environments.
  • 8+ years of operations management experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing and testing satellite communications payloads or space vehicle level.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain MES applications and workflows for assembly, integration, and test operations.
  • Create and optimize digital work instructions, operator interfaces, and data collection forms.
  • Implement version control and change management processes for MES applications.
  • Architect and maintain integrations between MES, ERP/MRP, and PLM systems.
  • Develop automated reporting and KPI dashboards for manufacturing performance.
