The Software Development Engineer will lead the technical strategy, design, build, and operation of AWS Trainium-based AI servers. This role involves collaborating with various teams to manage AI/ML infrastructure and improve provisioning systems. The EC2 UltraServer Provisioning team is responsible for delivering infrastructure at scale, focusing on innovative technologies that support AI workloads. The position requires strong leadership and technical skills to influence architecture and build customer relationships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative technologies that power infrastructure for AI workloads on Ultraservers
- Lead technical projects to establish EC2 as a leader in cloud computing for AI/ML workloads
- Collaborate with various teams to influence the architecture of provisioning systems
- Investigate complex performance challenges and develop actionable solutions
