Job description

The Data Engineer role at Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores-Grocery Tech Foundation team focuses on leading cross-functional initiatives to support strategic goals in the high-growth grocery business. Requirements

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience with data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, and AWS Glue
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Pyspark
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting tools like Tableau and Cognos
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or SSIS
  • Experience in reverse engineering legacy analytical applications
  • AWS certification or a similar cloud certification
  • Experience with non-relational databases and Big Data architecture
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-call rotation to support reporting and analytical applications
  • Lead data integration, reporting, and analytics projects
  • Design and implement scalable data models and ETL processes
  • Build next-generation data infrastructure to replace third-party solutions
