Amazon Robotics is looking for an Electrical Test Engineer to join the Hardware Test Engineering team, focusing on next-generation robotic system design. The engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting testing of electrical systems and components. This role emphasizes automation, cycle time reduction, and improving product quality. The team collaborates closely with hardware development, regulatory compliance, and program management to ensure high standards for quality and safety.
Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability.
- Experience building test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems.
- Experience using common electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
- Experience in leading large, cross-functional projects.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis.
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics.
- Experience working with Linux.
- Basic scripting experience in a high-level programming language such as Python, Matlab, or LabVIEW.
- Experience with electric motors and motor test methodology.
- Experience in circuit level debug to the component level.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, execute, and document testing of electrical systems and components.
- Develop test fixtures, test execution strategies, and test reports.
- Collaborate with hardware development, regulatory compliance, and program management.
- Lead and develop test strategies and solutions for new products.
- Meet with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and develop test plans.
- Work with other Test Engineers and developers regarding tools and techniques required for testing.
