The EC2 Mac team is responsible for the entire product lifecycle of the public EC2 Mac offering, focusing on virtualization solutions at a global scale. Engineers on the team are expected to be strong owners of their areas, driving innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving environment. The role involves close collaboration with senior engineers and technical leaders to define and execute technical direction. Work is primarily conducted in programming languages such as Go, Python, and C++.
Requirements
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking and storage
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the public EC2 Mac offering
- Drive net-new solutions to problems in a constantly evolving landscape
- Collaborate with EC2 Senior Engineers to define technical direction
- Conduct detailed analysis and design high-quality code
- Interact with all Nitro components in the sled
