The Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) role at Amazon Music involves designing, building, and shipping high-quality mobile features for millions of customers worldwide. The App Foundry team focuses on developing consumer-facing products across iOS, Android, and FireTablet platforms. This position requires collaboration with multiple teams across different countries to ensure cohesive mobile experiences. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Experience with Android, iOS, or other mobile application development or testing
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship high-quality mobile features for millions of customers worldwide
- Define and track key performance metrics and establish quality bars for app health
- Collaborate with 25+ teams across Mexico, India, and the United States to align on platform standards
- Lead system design, architecture decisions, and operational root cause analysis for complex mobile systems
- Resolve ambiguity and drive innovation across the mobile platform
