The Sr. Software Development Engineer will lead the technical strategy for engineering and science teams in a startup focused on vertical ad products. This role involves building innovative AI-powered advertising solutions from the ground up, addressing complex problems without predefined patterns. The ideal candidate will have a strong coding background and a proven track record of applying technologies at scale. Mentorship and leadership of junior engineers will also be key components of this position.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy of engineering and science teams in partnership with a Principal Engineer and Scientists
- Own, build, develop, and lead the technical components of business-critical advertising solutions
- Enable advertisers with simplified AI-powered advertising offerings
- Mentor and grow strong SDE IIs into Senior SDEs
