Job description
The Systems Architect for Cloud Supply Chain and Operations at Google will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions for Google's products. This role involves shaping Design for Operations requirements for next-generation platforms, focusing on reducing time and costs for deployment and maintenance. The architect will work closely with stakeholders from data center operations, manufacturing, and supply chains to influence new platform architectures. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to mentor junior team members and drive execution across various projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in a Product Design for Data center platforms technical environment, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Experience in data centers, networking, or supply chain/manufacturing operations.
- 3 years of experience in machine learning hardware architecture and software infrastructure is preferred.
- Excellent communication, project, and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify flaws and issues with hardware components and recommend corrective solutions.
- Evaluate hardware design feasibility based on product requirements and customize design solutions.
- Apply best practices to optimize hardware components for performance, power, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize hardware performance under established design constraints.
- Drive documentation efforts for hardware design, implementation, and test/validation results throughout the product life cycle.
