Job description

The Customer Service Engineer (CSE) role at KLA focuses on providing exceptional service support for advanced KLA products, primarily at customer sites. The CSE will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex capital equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams, including technical support and sales. The CSE will also engage in preventive maintenance and assist in training less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in semiconductor or related field, military service experience, or equivalent college degree.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment within a cleanroom environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Understanding of software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service support for a variety of advanced KLA products.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems at customer sites.
  • Repair and update equipment at customer sites, including complex system-level problems.
  • Prepare Field Service Reports on customer support activity and document recurring problems.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotes for customers based on service needs.
  • Conduct customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance support.
