Job description

The role is for a Data Engineer within the Transportation Business Intelligence team, focusing on building real-time analytical platforms using big data tools and AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will work with large volumes of data and tackle complex technical challenges while being passionate about data and analytics. This position requires a self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, global team environment. The team is dedicated to creating impactful data infrastructure to drive business improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases or data stores such as object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, and column-family databases

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data models and ETL pipelines to support business intelligence initiatives
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify strategic opportunities for data infrastructure improvements
  • Utilize AWS technologies to build and optimize big data solutions
