The Senior Software Development Engineer role focuses on building globally distributed replication systems for Amazon Aurora, a cloud-based relational database service. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance replication pipelines
- Drive cross-Region failover orchestration
- Define the architecture for the next generation of global database capabilities
- Mentor engineers across the team and influence technical direction
