Job description

The Senior Software Development Engineer role focuses on building globally distributed replication systems for Amazon Aurora, a cloud-based relational database service. The team is dedicated to enhancing cross-region disaster recovery capabilities to meet increasing customer demand. This position involves designing high-performance replication pipelines and mentoring engineers while influencing the technical direction of the team. Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
