Job description

The Data Engineer role within the Partner Experience Business Intelligence (PXBI) team focuses on enhancing core data infrastructure to support Prime Video partners. This position involves implementing AWS services to build data pipelines and improve data accuracy while ensuring compliance with data regulations. The team works with large datasets in a complex data environment and collaborates closely with various stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions. The role emphasizes writing clean code, leveraging AWS technologies, and maintaining robust data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

Responsibilities

  • Write design documents to propose solutions for data processing challenges.
  • Meet with peers to discuss proposed solutions.
  • Review design documents with product managers, senior management, and Senior SDEs to gather feedback.
  • Build data infrastructure and pipelines using AWS services.
  • Productionalize solutions into products used by Prime Video partners worldwide.
  • Maintain existing data infrastructure and identify areas for improvements.
