Job description

As a member of the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team, you will focus on the design and optimization of hardware in data centers, particularly with technologies like AWS Inferentia. This role requires leadership in applying new technologies to large-scale deployments to enhance customer experience. You will work in a fast-paced environment with industry thought-leaders, maintaining high standards for performance, quality, and cost. The position demands continuous improvement and innovation in product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience integrating IP and specifying IP requirements in the physical domain
  • Deep understanding of sign-off activities including timing, IR/EM, and physical verification
  • Experience in machine learning applications
  • Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
  • Expertise using CAD tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or Synopsys

Responsibilities

  • Drive block physical implementation through various design processes including synthesis and floor planning
  • Develop cloud infrastructure to support physical design work
  • Drive improvement in RTL2GDS flows and methodologies for performance and turnaround time
  • Create dashboards and central reports for project tracking and visualizing quality of results
  • Interface directly with RTL, Package Design, DFT, and other teams to enhance methodologies and efficiencies
  • Work with EDA tool vendors to evaluate new tools and improve usability
