The Water Resources Design Engineer / Design Manager role at Jacobs focuses on leading the delivery of innovative water resource projects. This position requires a strong technical background and involves collaboration with Project Managers and engineers to ensure project success. • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado or the ability to transfer registration from another state.
• At least 8 years of engineering design experience, including at least 2 years managing coordination between subconsultants and multidiscipline engineering teams.
• Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or similar.
• Experience with design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.

• Manage the design of stormwater improvements and critical water resources infrastructure.
• Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, and stormwater management planning.
• Provide quality construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Support construction activities, including submittal reviews and site inspections.
• Guide and manage the design team, including internal staff and subconsultants.
• Assist project managers with project management duties and act as a key client contact.
