Job description

As a Senior System Software Engineer on NVIDIA's AI Inference Operations Team, you will focus on DevOps and Infrastructure Automation. You will work with a team of skilled engineers to build and manage the infrastructure that powers AI inference products. This role requires expertise in systems programming, cloud-native infrastructure, and developer productivity. Your contributions will help shape the next generation of compute infrastructure at a leading technology company.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience operating production distributed systems in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Ops.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including components, subsystems, and hands-on debugging.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
  • Fluency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Crossplane.
  • Proven reliability ownership experience with SLOs/SLIs and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate the infrastructure backbone for AI inference products.
  • Own Kubernetes deployments end-to-end, including runbooks and post-deploy validation.
  • Architect CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, packaging, and release processes.
  • Build observability tools to monitor platform health and lead incident triage.
  • Manage cloud and on-prem environments using infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Own the security posture for infrastructure components, including vulnerability scans.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
