Job description

The Senior Logic Design Engineer will be part of the DGX FPGA Logic Team, focusing on FPGA/CPLD development including micro-architectural definition, RTL coding, and logic debug. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure design accuracy and system validation. The engineer will also support system bring-up and validation efforts, contributing to the advancement of technology in artificial intelligence. The position offers opportunities for meaningful contributions in a dynamic, technology-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA/CPLD and/or ASIC semiconductor designs.
  • Verilog/System Verilog expertise with a deep understanding of ASIC/FPGA/CPLD development flow.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience mentoring junior engineers and interns.
  • Familiarity with FPGA EDA tools from Xilinx, Altera, or Lattice.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as I2C, SPI, JTAG, PCIE, USB, Ethernet, and Encryption.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the system architecture team to develop FPGA/CPLD design requirements.
  • Write readable high-quality RTL, synthesis, timing closure, and design documentation.
  • Collaborate with design verification and formal verification teams to confirm design accuracy.
  • Work with the validation team to carry out in-system tests and measurements.
  • Assist with overall FPGA design activities.
  • Participate in system bring-up locally and at other global sites.
