Job description
The Data Center Engineering and Operations (DCEO) Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer at NVIDIA is responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and company programs within data centers and laboratories. This fully onsite role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance safety measures and implement effective EHS programs. The engineer will leverage AI technology to improve processes and results while working closely with a team of experts dedicated to innovation and quality. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, occupational risk management, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in conducting hazard analysis and risk mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of US federal and California health and safety regulations and their applicability to commercial and industrial environments
- Knowledge of employee exposure monitoring programs related to noise, thermal stress exposure, and use of various chemicals
- Has or can obtain a valid driver's license to operate non-commercial motor vehicles in California
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with DCEO Operations staff and external contacts to ensure compliance with EHS programs and training.
- Provide real-time risk assessment and safety guidance for non-routine work and equipment testing.
- Coordinate with onsite teams and vendors to maintain safety during equipment testing.
- Initiate and conduct workshops and training sessions on health and safety requirements.
- Ensure proper chemical and waste management and conduct hazardous waste inspections.
- Act as the primary contact for audits and compliance inspections within DCEO site operations.
- Assist in the development of standard and emergency operating procedures.
