Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Wastewater Process Project Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Orlando, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to lead design efforts and mentor junior engineers while working on wastewater treatment projects. The position emphasizes collaboration with project managers and clients to deliver sustainable solutions in the water industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to help grow the water practice in Florida and engage in regional and national projects.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater process mechanical design is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field, is required.
- Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Experience managing the preparation, review, and approval of project documents is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and technical knowledge to develop design team capabilities.
- Lead project tasks in the planning, design, permitting, and construction of wastewater facilities.
- Manage and lead capacity and facility evaluations for wastewater systems.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design/drafting technical staff.
- Collaborate with the National Wastewater Practice Leader to support technical alignment and share best practices.
- Engage in professional organizations and contribute to research and innovation in wastewater process technologies.
- Work with project managers to determine needs and provide solutions for project scopes and budgets.
