Job description

The Infrastructure Automation Engineer will join KLA's Global Products Group to support the development and operation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation platforms. The role focuses on Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipeline integration across various environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with senior engineers and contribute to a reliable platform used by multiple engineering teams. This position offers an opportunity to learn and apply automation best practices in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Education in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience with Terraform, including writing or modifying modules, variables, and state
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
  • Experience working in Linux environments
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows, including pull requests, branching, and code reviews
  • Ability to debug issues across scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure components

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update Terraform modules for provisioning virtual machine-based environments and Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Support CI/CD pipelines that integrate infrastructure provisioning workflows
  • Assist with embedding Terraform operations into pipelines like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment failures related to Terraform execution and environment configuration
  • Assist with integrating infrastructure automation into internal platforms supporting VM and Kubernetes environments
  • Participate in operational tasks including environment updates and infrastructure-as-code hygiene under senior guidance
  • Collaborate with internal application and DevOps teams to understand infrastructure integration needs
  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing
