Goldman Sachs is looking for a Vice President of UI Engineering to lead the development of advanced React applications for their payments platform. This role involves overseeing high-performing engineering teams and driving technical strategy to create scalable front-end systems. The VP will work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver high-performance user interfaces. The position requires a strong focus on architectural leadership and performance optimization in a fast-paced financial environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in an architectural capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous data handling and complex state management patterns.
- Proven experience with Micro-frontend architecture and Module Federation.
- Strong commitment to test-driven development and automated UI testing frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Define the architectural roadmap for React-based micro-frontends.
- Mentor and manage a team of senior UI developers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to create intuitive digital experiences.
- Establish and enforce best practices for state management and UI consistency.
