Job description
The Senior Circuit Methodology Engineer will work closely with NVIDIA's circuit design engineering team to enhance circuit design methodology. This role focuses on evaluating and integrating EDA tools to improve design quality and efficiency. The engineer will also maintain relationships with EDA vendors and participate in industry conferences. Additionally, the position involves reviewing past issues and facilitating the integration of AI algorithms into workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Mid-level programming skills, primarily in Python and Perl.
- 5+ years of experience related to circuit design methodology using Cadence/Synopsys systems.
- Familiarity with Cadence ADE Assembler is beneficial.
- Experience with transient simulators like alps, hspice, primesim, or spectre/spectrex is advantageous.
- Experience with viewing and manipulating layout is a plus.
- Exposure to AI algorithms and flows is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new EDA tools to enhance circuit design quality and reduce design-cycle times.
- Take ownership of new EDA tool workflows, including architecting, implementing, and maintaining these workflows.
- Maintain relationships with EDA vendors and participate in EDA conferences as a guest or speaker.
- Promote NVIDIA ideas to advise EDA tool development and improvement.
- Review past problem cases and address issues with procedure or infrastructure improvements.
- Facilitate the integration of AI algorithms into workflows for improved efficiency.
