The AWS EC2 Nitro team is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the EC2 Storage Live Migration team. This role focuses on building and operating systems that migrate running virtual instances across physical infrastructure at scale. The team is dedicated to creating solutions for high-performance local storage for EC2 disk instances. The ideal candidate will contribute to fleet maintenance, hardware failure responses, and host utilization optimization while ensuring a seamless experience for customers.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Build and operate systems that migrate running virtual instances across physical infrastructure

• Lead small project teams and deliver features with minimal oversight
