Job description
The Data Center Design Engineer will lead projects and guide cross-functional teams to meet Infrastructure Design requirements. This role involves working closely with Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural Engineers to optimize data center spaces. The engineer will also collaborate with construction and internal engineering teams to publish and implement construction drawings. A strong understanding of data center infrastructure and industry standards is essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Construction Management or similar or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of structured cabling infrastructure experience
- Experience working with low voltage power
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of data centers
- Project Management experience
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure standards
- Ability to maintain records of design work
- Strong understanding of network environments
- Ability to navigate AutoCAD Software
- Ability to create and manipulate CAD 2D & 3D models
- Proven success in team environments
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
