Job description

As an Analog ASIC Architect on Apple's Touch Technology team, you will lead the architecture of complex mixed-signal ASICs aimed at enhancing touch sensing experiences across various Apple products. This role involves translating high-level requirements into detailed designs, focusing on analog front-end architecture and signal processing. You will collaborate with multiple teams, ensuring that architectural decisions are well-informed and effectively communicated. Your work will contribute to the development of high-volume silicon that powers iconic Apple devices.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in analog and mixed-signal ASIC architecture.
  • Proven track record of defining and taping out high-volume, complex mixed-signal ICs from architecture through production.
  • Strong foundation in system-level design, IC micro-architecture definition, and requirements development for mixed-signal ASICs.
  • Experience with IC bring-up, silicon characterization, and debug at the system level.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent high-level modeling and simulation tools.
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture of complex mixed-signal ASICs from concept through silicon.
  • Translate high-level system requirements into rigorous, realizable designs.
  • Define the analog front-end architecture, signal processing pipeline, and system-level performance targets.
  • Drive architectural decisions with clarity and conviction.
  • Collaborate across circuit design, digital architecture, software, and product teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
