The Critical Environment Mechanical Engineer at Microsoft plays a vital role in delivering core infrastructure for cloud services such as Azure and Office 365. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1+ years of related technical engineering experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of related technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide make-versus-buy recommendations to management based on complexity, financial impact, quality, reliability, and time duration.
- Create robust, scalable, secure, and extensible designs and verification plans for hardware engineering aspects of complex products.
- Develop and implement solutions to complex technical and design challenges involving multiple variables.
- Review documentation to ensure appropriate test requirements and improvements are included in hardware designs.
- Generate project implementation schedules and monitor performance against those schedules.
