Job description

The Data Engineer role within Analytics Delivery Services (ADS) focuses on building and optimizing scalable data solutions to manage Employee Relations data securely. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers, to deliver impactful data solutions. The ideal candidate will analyze large datasets, improve data infrastructure performance, and automate data processes. This role is critical in defining the data strategy and ensuring efficient data access for various applications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes
  • 1+ years of experience with OLAP technologies
  • 1+ years of experience in data modeling
  • 1+ years of experience using SQL
  • 1+ years of experience with Oracle
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases or data stores

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior engineers to model and implement data pipelines that integrate people data across middle and last mile.
  • Own the delivery of data modeling and data pipelines.
  • Manage and execute project plans and delivery commitments.
  • Assist in the hiring and development of technical talent.
  • Create and execute quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and processes for development activities.
  • Maintain in-house cluster health and continuously improve cluster performance.
