Job description
The AF/OIS System Architect role at Google focuses on pioneering the future of imaging technologies within the TechEng Imaging and Vision team. The position involves integrating Google's computational photography and AI with imaging hardware to create an intelligent imaging and sensing platform for Pixel products. The architect will lead the design and development of Autofocus (AF) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) systems, driving innovation from concept to production. This role requires strong technical leadership and collaboration across various teams to achieve product goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field.
- 6 years of experience in the design and development of Autofocus (AF) or Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) systems.
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Architect the roadmap and goals for next-generation AF and OIS systems across Google's hardware portfolio.
- Drive the introduction of novel AF/OIS technologies, from concept to production.
- Own the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of advanced control systems and algorithms to achieve AF and OIS performance.
