Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Sr. Connectivity Systems Engineer to define wireless architecture for consumer electronics devices. The role involves optimizing system performance and conducting gap analysis across various communication systems. Candidates will leverage their expertise in communication theory and wireless technologies to drive modeling efforts and system integration. This position is integral to the development of innovative consumer electronics that enhance user experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems or RF engineering
- Experience in Wi-Fi/BT/BLE/ZigBee/WAN/GPS/UWB or NFC
- Experience with scripting languages and simulation tools such as Python/MatLab
- Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
- Experience developing PHY/MAC layer HW/SW targeting SoCs, FPGAs, and general-purpose processors
- Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, and RF system analysis
- Experience in RFIC or Custom wireless chipset development
Responsibilities
- Define wireless architecture for consumer electronics devices
- Define key performance metrics and drive modeling efforts to predict end-to-end system performance
- Perform gap analysis and system performance optimization across radio, PHY, MAC, firmware, and software
