As an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, ensuring they meet evolving customer needs. You will collaborate with diverse teams to troubleshoot issues, develop innovative solutions, and lead engineering audits. This role emphasizes a mix of office and field work, allowing you to engage directly with data center operations. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Valid and active driver's license
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
- Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing
- Possess data analytics skills, data querying skills/language, and scripting abilities
- Excellent communication and writing skills with attention to detail
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Organized with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget
Responsibilities
- Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and complex operating procedure reviews.
- Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions.
- Interface with internal teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability.
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS’s data centers.
- Initiate and lead engineering audits, producing reports with risks and recommended mitigations.
- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction and commissioning.
