Job description
As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead and manage cross-functional projects focused on developing sortation and distribution solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining a customer-obsessed approach. This role involves significant travel, requiring you to engage with various stakeholders across North America. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
- 4+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and storage solutions
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of challenging projects and deliver on project objectives and targets.
- Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions on systems architecture and facility processes.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to set project priorities and drive schedules.
- Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs per established standards.
- Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
