Job description

The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) at Amazon will oversee the Supplier Quality Program and support supplier sourcing for the Logistics Automation program. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in Supplier Quality Management and the integrated automation project life cycle. The QAE will collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality products from suppliers and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Quality & Standards team focuses on maintaining defect-free Material Handling Equipment across global operations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Experience in automation testing
  • Experience with electrical systems
  • Experience with industrial control systems, both hardware and software
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments, including root cause analysis and corrective action management methodologies
  • Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
  • ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor experience
  • Experience with MHE systems in a fulfillment, logistics, or last-mile environment
  • Familiarity with Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier quality programs
  • Experience with quality management platforms
  • Proficiency in a scripting or data analysis language to support quality data analysis
  • Experience developing or contributing to supplier quality manuals or standardized work instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience with installation oversight and acceptance testing for MHE or industrial equipment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of best practices quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
  • Carry out supplier validation qualification and audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Work with Engineering teams to define process parameters and criteria.
  • Monitor supplier quality analysis and develop supplier quality improvement plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve supplier performance reporting systems.
  • Analyze supplier data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement supplier risk management strategies.
  • Monitor supplier certifications and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and support the resolution of supplier quality-related complaints.
  • Support new product launches to ensure suppliers meet quality standards.
  • Review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEAs.
  • Monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.
  • Support regular inspection meetings to establish action plans for improving build quality.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices and future trends.
