Job description

The Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will oversee all engineering and design activities for assigned projects within a hybrid work environment. This role involves managing complex engineering tasks and ensuring technical quality while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. The engineer will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the design of electrical circuits and control systems. The position is focused on delivering high-quality solutions for clients in the life sciences sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Control Systems Engineer
  • Experience in Bio Pharma, Pharmaceutical, and Lab process instrumentation and controls
  • Knowledge of international codes such as ASME BPE and hygienic systems
  • Familiarity with Life Science Industry Automation, DCS and PLC control systems

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the I&C Lead Engineer, overseeing all I&C engineering and design activities for assigned projects
  • Develop project scopes of work and prepare manhour estimates for successful project execution
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, Jacobs standards, and applicable industry regulations
  • Perform tiered reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy and adherence to design criteria
  • Mentor and train team members to support successful project delivery
