Job description

The Mid-Level Electrical Engineer will be a key member of the Houston, Texas team at Jacobs, focusing on delivering complex electrical design solutions for various projects including commercial, federal, and higher education facilities. This role involves collaboration with project managers to ensure client expectations are met while maintaining technical quality and schedule. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to innovative designs that transform urban environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit
  • Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other NFPA codes

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design activities for various projects
  • Support project managers in developing project scope and schedule
  • Ensure technical quality and adherence to schedule for engineering tasks
  • Communicate scope and design changes effectively
  • Produce detailed electrical design documents including single-line diagrams and lighting designs
