Job description
The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the civil engineering component of facility planning and design projects within the Federal Buildings group at Jacobs. This role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure project quality and client satisfaction. The engineer will also mentor less experienced staff and manage civil design project teams. The focus will be on site development for U.S. military and federal facilities, requiring strong communication and technical skills.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- At least 15 years of progressive responsibility and experience in site development projects
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Strong background in plan production and project execution while leading design teams
- AutoCAD Civil3D design experience
- United States Citizen
Responsibilities
- Lead the civil engineering component of facility planning and final design projects.
- Ensure overall project quality of civil engineering work performed.
- Manage client service, utilization of assigned staff, and project profitability.
- Develop labor budgets for civil engineering design efforts.
- Attend multi-discipline design meetings and interact with clients.
- Supervise topographic and utility survey teams as required.
