Job description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Jacobs in Philadelphia, PA, you will join a team focused on integrated building services design. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Professional Engineer license (PE)
  • 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, particularly in Mission Critical applications
  • Experience designing medium-voltage distribution systems and emergency generation
  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD, SKM and/or eTap Power Tools, and Bentley BIM
  • Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards
  • Working knowledge of other building systems related to electrical systems

Responsibilities

  • Design full low and medium voltage electrical systems and oversee the design of lighting, fire alarm, and signaling systems.
  • Prepare load analysis for each stage of design and direct a design team in the preparation of detailed project electrical systems drawings.
  • Prepare basis of design reports for projects and document energy compliance to applicable energy codes.
  • Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment and coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and project architects.
  • Maintain confidentiality with clients and projects.
