The Software Development Engineer role focuses on building the next generation of advertising measurement and reporting systems at Amazon scale. The team is responsible for processing tens of billions of advertising events daily, providing low-latency and highly available services. Candidates will work with open-source technologies and AWS services to deliver innovative solutions. This position offers the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of petabyte-scale systems.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges
• Showcase diverse architectural approaches and design patterns in technical designs
• Communicate effectively across all leadership levels, both verbally and in writing
• Lead deep technical discussions with senior engineers to solve challenging problems
• Quickly grasp new systems and provide valuable technical consultation to stakeholders
• Drive adoption of agenting patterns for development and on-call support
