Job description

Apple is seeking a developer to support the implementation of its environmental, health and safety (EHS) systems, particularly focusing on enablon. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and automation of EHS programs while also implementing new programs as necessary. This role requires a quick learner with attention to detail and an interest in the niche coding language NABSIC. The developer will work independently and troubleshoot issues while collaborating with the team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of enablon implementation experience
  • Technical knowledge of enablon's core coding language, NABSIC
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple high priority projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work evening hours for monthly releases

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing work in enablon and develop automated EHS programs.
  • Implement new EHS programs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose defects in the EHS systems.
  • Apply best practices and strategies for automating EHS requirements.
  • Work through agile and waterfall implementation methodologies.
  • Develop domain expertise in incident management, inspections, chemical management, compliance management, risk management, and action tracking.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
