This role is a Technical Program Management (TPM) and Quality professional position within Apple's DFM organization. The successful candidate will focus on semiconductor packaging and electronic assembly processes, collaborating with manufacturing suppliers and internal teams to optimize product design and manufacturability. The role emphasizes developing robust quality control systems and ensuring high standards for product quality. The candidate will also drive continuous improvement in factory operations while addressing critical issues as they arise.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in semiconductor packaging or electronic assembly processes, including SMT, underfill/mold, laser, PVD/coating, bending, testing, and other related technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of product quality and reliability, with knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Proven problem-solving and debugging skills with a proactive approach to addressing complex technical challenges.
- Proficiency in tools such as JMP and Tableau for data-driven decision-making and analysis.
- Experience collaborating with Asia-based manufacturing suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust factory and quality control systems to ensure high standards for product quality.
- Deliver efficient, scalable manufacturing solutions that achieve high yields and low costs.
- Serve as a key point of contact during factory or quality excursions, providing clear communication to management and teams.
- Proactively identify, address, and prevent critical issues while driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to promote collaboration among diverse individuals.
- Create comprehensive documentation and deliver impactful presentations.
