Job description

The role involves working as a Thermal/Mechanical Engineer within the AWS Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics team, focusing on the design and development of server platforms. The team is responsible for creating innovative cooling and mechanical technologies for large-scale server deployments. This position requires collaboration with various technology experts and a commitment to high standards in product performance and quality. The work will significantly impact AWS's cloud infrastructure and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 7 years of experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies or equivalent technology
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems.
  • Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives.
  • Participate in the cross-discipline design process working with other hardware and software team members to develop optimized integrated solutions.
  • Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems.
  • Manage interaction with overseas resources.
  • Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers.
