The Bridge Engineer role at Jacobs involves working within the Northwest Bridge Team, focusing on a variety of transportation projects across the Northwest and nationwide. This position requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to provide technical expertise in the design and construction of transportation structures. • A minimum of 8-15 years of progressive experience as a Structural Engineer in the design of transportation structures and/or bridges.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university or college.
• Professional Engineer License, preferably in Idaho.
• Experience with multiple structure types including precast and post-tensioned concrete girder bridges, steel girder bridges, bridge widenings, and bridge rehabilitations.
• Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of technical standards for bridge design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

• Provide technical expertise in completing transportation structure design and construction projects from conceptual and preliminary design to final design and construction.
• Develop structural calculations, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers and CAD staff.
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between Jacobs staff and subcontractors.
• Assist in business development activities and proposal efforts.
