Job description
The Software Engineer role at Microsoft focuses on enhancing the V8 JavaScript and WebAssembly JIT compiler for the Edge browser. The position is part of an agile and diverse team dedicated to developing software components and tools for Chromium-based products. Candidates will primarily work with C++ and other technologies to write code, perform testing, and debug issues. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
- Support the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product feature.
- Learn to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature while reusing code as applicable.
- Assist in breaking down work items into tasks and provide estimation.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation and recommend actions to restore service.
- Review current developments and seek new knowledge to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance.
