Job description

The Global High Yield Credit / Research Analyst role is a key position within the High Yield & Bank Loan investing team at Goldman Sachs. The Analyst will focus on analyzing companies across various sectors, performing due diligence, and making investment recommendations based on financial modeling and market analysis. This role requires strong collaboration with portfolio managers and research analysts to identify new investment opportunities. A successful candidate will thrive in a team-oriented culture and possess a keen interest in investment research.

Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience in research, investment management, or investment banking
  • Must have Research / Credit Analyst experience
  • Demonstrable interest in, and commitment to, investment research
  • Sound accounting background and strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong social and communication skills, both oral and written

Responsibilities

  • Establish analytical frameworks to review sectors and industries
  • Analyze high yield and leveraged loan issuers across various sectors through financial modeling and accounting review
  • Assess the relative value of high yield bond and leveraged loan investment opportunities
  • Recommend investments across a range of portfolios and update recommendations with Investment Committee team members
  • Perform ongoing due diligence and self-monitoring of portfolio positions and key credits
