Job description

NVIDIA is looking for security and privacy researchers to enhance the development of secure and trustworthy AI systems. The role involves addressing security, privacy, and safety concerns that affect data usage in AI applications. Candidates will work collaboratively across various teams to innovate hardware, software, and algorithms. This position offers a chance to make a significant impact in a leading technology company focused on accelerated computing and AI.

Requirements

  • You are pursuing a Ph.D. in CE/CS/EE with a strong background in computer architecture, operating systems, programming languages/compilers, applied cryptography, and/or AI/ML.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one specific security area such as applied cryptography, programming languages, software systems, AI/ML algorithms, or computer architecture.
  • Strong publication and research collaboration records.
  • Experience with experimental research and development.
  • Experience with C, C++, Python, and/or scripting languages.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze the potential vulnerabilities and risks in future systems for AI and AI-based systems.
  • Develop creative hardware, software, and algorithms to enable trustworthy AI systems with strong and verifiable security, privacy, and safety guarantees.
  • Collaborate with a diverse set of teams across the company, spanning software, hardware, research, and product groups.
  • Publish original research and speak at conferences and events.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
