The AWS Security team is seeking a dedicated professional to join its high-security systems engineering team, focusing on the operation of the physical access control system (PACS) and automation of security architecture. The role involves ensuring the health and security of critical services while providing excellent customer service in a classified environment. Engineers will integrate enterprise and commodity hardware, develop management tools, and produce infrastructure as code. The position requires a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph.

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience with distributed systems at scale

• Architect and implement enterprise-scale security solutions from conception to production, including custom PACS integrations and security automation frameworks.
• Design and develop high-availability distributed systems with emphasis on security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Lead the development of custom security tools and frameworks for system hardening, threat detection, and automated incident response.
• Architect and implement zero-trust security models for critical infrastructure components.
• Design and build custom APIs and middleware solutions for security system integration.
• Develop advanced automation frameworks for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and configuration management.
• Create sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems using machine learning for anomaly detection.
• Implement cryptographic solutions for secure communication between distributed systems.
• Design and implement custom authentication and authorization protocols.
• Lead technical design reviews and security architecture assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical best practices.
